You were the flaming stars,
madly incandescent and unearthly under my skin,
that sunk keenly between the rhythm of our nervous pulse,
too sensitive to the pull of orbits of distant moons,
and ardent newborn galaxies,
that spirited cello sonatas into the ether
and whisked them into my every imagination,
that awaited until I learned you, and learned how you wore
your sparkling soul in me
